May 24, 2025, is set to be a cultural spectacle as the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) wraps up with a vibrant Music and Cultural Festival at the scenic lakeside of Speke Resort Munyonyo.
The grand finale of Africa’s leading tourism showcase promises a day of musical brilliance, cultural celebration, and high-powered performances featuring some of the continent’s most iconic talent. Topping the list is the much-anticipated reunion of Uganda’s legendary girl group Blu 3, reuniting Cindy Sanyu, Jackie Chandiru, and Lilian Mbabazi on one stage after years apart.
Also lighting up the festival will be Winnie Nwagi, Ssuna Ben, and Aliddeki Brian, all known for their rich contribution to Ugandan music. The event will be emceed by celebrated comedian Patrick Salvado, with flair and energy brought in by co-hosts Sheila Gashumba, fresh off launching her DJ career, and media personality Sheila Salta.
Organized by Talent Africa Group in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Uganda Tourism Board, Explore Uganda, and Uganda Wildlife Authority, the Music and Cultural Festival is poised to crown three days of intense tourism showcases, trade meetings, and destination exhibitions from across Africa.
According to organizers, the festival is not just entertainment—it’s a celebration of the continent’s shared heritage. With delegates expected from countries like Kenya, South Africa, and many others, the evening promises a true Pan-African experience through sound, dance, and storytelling.
