Ugandan artist Acidic Vokoz, born Kakaire Mutwahilu, has stirred speculation about a possible fallout with his management team, Mama Baba Entertainment, after sharing new booking contacts on his official social media pages. He warned fans and event organizers against using the old numbers, saying transactions through them would no longer be valid.
This move immediately raised eyebrows, leading fans to assume that the singer had parted ways with Mama Baba Entertainment.
However, in a leaked phone call with Galaxy FM, Selector Reason, a key figure in Mama Baba Entertainment dismissed the rumors. He insisted he still manages Acidic Vokoz and urged the public not to believe any talk of a split unless the announcement comes directly from him.
“Just tell me where you want him to perform, and I’ll handle it,” Reason said. “Changing numbers means nothing. Try calling those numbers, and you’ll see that Oscaris still the one picking up. I’m the only one who can officially announce a separation don’t believe anything else.”
During the conversation, Selector Reason initially admitted to some disagreements within the team but quickly backtracked, insisting that everything had been resolved.
Mama Baba Entertainment, which includes Selector Reason and Oscar Pro, took over management of Acidic Vokoz in 2022. Since then, the partnership has seen notable achievements like award wins, international gigs, hit songs, and even a major concert at the Cricket Oval.
Rumors suggest that tension between the artist and his management stemmed from a disagreement over finances—specifically, that Acidic Vokoz’s dream of buying land was ignored, with management opting instead to purchase him a car. Selector Reason denied these claims, saying he does, in fact, own land.
When approached for comment, Acidic Vokoz chose not to delve deeper into the issue, stating that his social media post had been misunderstood.
“The message on my page meant something different,” he told Galaxy. “When the time to part ways comes, we’ll cross that bridge. For now, I don’t want to discuss it.”
