Fast-Rising Ugandan singer and songwriter Joshua Baraka is set to headline his first-ever major concert, slated for November 29, 2025, at the Ndere Cultural Center in Kampala.
The event, dubbed “Into the Braka Land,” marks a career milestone for the 24-year-old multi-instrumentalist, who has steadily carved out a place in Uganda’s music scene with his genre-fusing sound.
Baraka, who burst onto the scene with his 2021 debut EP Baby Steps, became a household name after the release of his hit single Nana in 2023. His latest track, Wrong Places, has expanded his reach to international audiences with its mix of Afrobeat, R&B, dancehall, and Amapiano influences.
Reflecting on his journey, Baraka said he remains focused on consistency rather than hype:
“I’m not one to anticipate what’s going to happen; I just do what I have to do that day. I’ll keep doing my best, putting out music, performing, producing, and doing what I love, then seeing where it goes from there. I’ve got my foot in the industry, and I’m going to come through. By the time I take my foot out, it will have left an imprint on this world.”
The concert is being organized by Talent Africa Group, whose CEO, Aly Allibhai, described the night as a celebration of one of Uganda’s most promising acts:
“Joshua’s unique sound and artistic vision have captivated audiences both locally and internationally. This show is not only a big moment in his career but also for the Ugandan music industry. Fans can expect an unforgettable night filled with energy, creativity, and world-class entertainment.”
The line-up will feature some of Baraka’s biggest hits, including Wrong Places, No Bad Vibes (featuring Gyakie), Recess, Someday, Lonely, and Touch Me.
The show is powered by Talent Africa Group, Moves Recordings, Ssese Nation, and Lobst4R. Further details, including ticketing information, will be available via Talent Africa Group.
