Musician Mansur Semanda, popularly known as King Saha, has emerged as a vocal political commentator in Uganda, using his platform to advocate for change and express strong support for opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi alias as Bobi Wine.
As one of the National Unity Platform’s (NUP) most prominent supporters, King Saha has consistently criticized the current government, gaining recognition within the party and among its supporters. Despite persistent calls from various quarters encouraging him to contest for an electoral position in the upcoming 2026 general elections, King Saha remains resolute in his decision not to pursue political office.
In a recent statement, the singer explained that his commitment lies in promoting Bobi Wine’s leadership and working towards nationwide change through the NUP.
“I want to bring change to the country, and we shall achieve it. I work towards that every day with my President, and that’s what I am focused on. I will promote and campaign for Bobi Wine because I know he is capable of bringing the change we badly need. I don’t have time to start fighting for positions when there’s a bigger thing I’m pushing,” King Saha said
He emphasizes that his role is to mobilize, advocate, and campaign rather than seek personal political power.
Expressing optimism about Uganda’s political future, King Saha confidently predicted that Bobi Wine will take the helm of the country in the near future.
As the 2026 elections approach, the singer’s evolving political role continues to resonate with many Ugandans who see him as a voice of youth empowerment and change beyond the music scene.
