Ugandan singer King Saha has addressed swirling rumors linking him romantically and professionally to rising female artist Winnie Wa Mummy, following a string of joint appearances and performances including a recent trip to Dubai.
In a recent interview, Saha clarified the nature of their relationship, dismissing claims that he had officially signed Winnie under his music management or that their closeness signaled anything beyond collaboration and mentorship.
“She’s my friend, like how you see me with Spice Diana or Sheebah. I didn’t sign her but I work with her. Winnie is a good artist and she’s at the right age to prosper,” he explained.
The speculation gained traction after Winnie Wa Mummy parted ways with her former manager, fellow artist Mudra D Viral. Fans and industry insiders began to question whether Saha had stepped in as her new manager or possibly more.
But Saha was quick to point out that his support for Winnie comes not just from recognizing her potential, but also out of respect for his friendship with Mudra.
“I and Mudra are good friends, and we combine on a lot of things to help the artist. I picked Winnie among many because I believe in her talent, and I also wanted to assist after she left Mudra’s care.”
