Veteran dancehall artist Kamulegeya Sulaiman Alpha, alias KS Alpha, is set to take a defining step in his artistic journey on December 13, with a live concert at the Uganda National Cultural Center. Backed by his powerful 8-piece band, ZiVUGA, the event promises a night of deep musical storytelling and elevated live production.
The concert marks a significant milestone for the veteran artist, whose music has undergone substantial evolution over the decades. KS Alpha says this show will unveil a side of his artistry many fans have not experienced before.
The performance is inspired by his latest album, “A Cup of Coffee with KS Alpha,” a project designed as an intimate musical conversation. The album’s themes of reflection, connection, and growth will form the backbone of the evening. According to KS Alpha, the concert offers new fans an entry point into his sound, while longtime supporters can expect a journey through the memories and milestones that shaped his career.
In keeping with his tradition, KS Alpha will also welcome several fellow musicians to the stage. He will introduce a rising young artist during the show, a gesture he describes as part of his belief in shared growth and mentorship within the music industry.
The event is supported by the Mia’Sarka Foundation, a Canadian-based organization focused on grassroots education and health initiatives in Uganda, Kenya, and Jamaica. Additional partners backing the show include: Bayimba Foundation, YOtv, ZiVUGA Media, Black Canvus, UCC, Yes I Am Afrikan, Tazama, RG Tickets, and Kadanke Brand House.
