His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Grand Mufti of Uganda and the head of Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, arrived safely in Tehran- Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, to participate as one of the facilitators for a prestigious International conference themed Holy Qur’an & International Diplomacy.
The conference has attracted scholars, diplomats, and religious leaders from over 30 countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Malaysia, Algeria, Tunisia, and Bosnia.
The conference aims to explore the role of the Holy Quran in shaping International relations, fostering diplomacy and addressing global challenges through Islamic principles.
During one of the dialogues, Sheikh Mubaje explained how the holy Quran can strengthen International relations and address global challenges.
“The Holy Quran tells us to hold on tightly to the robe of Allah and don’t differentiate. Which means that Allah gave us the Holy Quran with one language which is Arabic, we pray in Arabic and this one language is what Allah wants us to use across the globe. We recite the Quran in Arabic and the purpose of the Quran is to unite the world. When we hold the Quran, it means that we are holding onto the word of Allah, and Allah gave us the Quran as guidance to the wellbeing of humanity. When we follow the Quran, we shall definitely unite the Ummah because the Quran has no versions so when we master it, we shall remain under one body with the guidance of Allah,”
When asked about how a new world of civilization can be built with the Quran, he explained: “The almighty Allah tells us in the book of Quran that the book guides us to the best. The experience and history shows that with the Quran, we got civilizations and developments in all fields of economy, health, agriculture, astronomy, science. All the knowledge that we are getting now, going to the moon, mars, everything was mentioned in the holy Quran,”
