The dates for the 2025 edition of the Nyege Nyege Festival have officially been announced. Running under the theme “Ekiggunda Ky’Omuliro: The Gathering of the Flame,” this year’s highly anticipated music, arts, and cultural festival will take place from Thursday, November 20 to Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Unlike previous editions, the 2025 festival will be held at a new venue—Kalagala Falls, located across from the famous Itanda Falls on the River Nile, about 30 minutes from Jinja. The exact site, known as Adrift, is expected to offer a fresh, immersive festival experience, blending music with the beauty of nature and the rush of the river.
Nyege Nyege has built a reputation over the years as a major melting pot of African and global sounds, attracting thousands of revellers, artists, and culture lovers from around the world. Organizers say this year’s edition will keep that spirit alive, bringing a more grounded and fiery vibe in line with its 2025 theme.
While the performance lineup is yet to be revealed, past festivals have featured an exciting mix of local and international acts—ranging from traditional musicians and underground DJs to experimental sound artists and global headliners. Fans can expect nothing less this year, with organizers promising a diverse and thrilling set of performances. The full artist list is expected in the coming weeks.
Ticket details have not been announced yet either, but festivalgoers are advised to stay tuned for early bird offers and pricing options. As with previous editions, Nyege Nyege is expected to offer various ticket categories, including general admission, East African resident passes, and VIP access.
With a new riverside setting and a theme focused on energy, fire, and connection, Nyege Nyege 2025 is shaping up to be another unforgettable chapter in Uganda’s festival culture.
