The Roots & Vibes Concert is being positioned as a vibrant Afro-Caribbean musical celebration that will blend the rhythms of reggae, soca, Afro-roots, and dancehall, bringing together diverse sounds and cultural influences for what organisers describe as an immersive live entertainment experience in the Ugandan capital.
Curated as an intimate yet high-impact performance event, the concert aims to spotlight live musical excellence while contributing to the growing profile of Kampala as a destination for globally relevant music and cultural experiences.

The event will be headlined by Abeeka Band, one of East Africa’s most energetic contemporary music groups, widely recognised for their electrifying stage presence and genre-blending sound. The band comprises five members—Pages, Kevin, Michael, Producer Allan, and Dr. Tre—whose music fuses Afro-pop, R&B, and modern African rhythms that continue to resonate with audiences across the region and beyond.
With a growing following among music enthusiasts, creatives, and cultural audiences, Abeeka Band has established a reputation for dynamic live performances, making them a fitting headline act for the Afro-Caribbean themed concert.
Organisers say Roots & Vibes – Live in Kampala has been carefully designed as a live-performance-driven concert that prioritises musical authenticity, atmosphere, and cultural storytelling. The event is expected to bring together music lovers, creatives, and cultural enthusiasts for a night celebrating rhythm, heritage, and artistic connection.
