After years of steady but modest growth in the Ugandan music scene, singer Victor Ruz is looking to female powerhouses to breathe new life into his career. The artist, best known for tracks like Love Legend, has openly expressed his hope to work with top stars Winnie Nwagi and Sheebah Karungi, a move he believes could mark the beginning of his musical resurgence.
In a recent interview, Ruz revealed that working with these two would be a dream come true, citing their unmatched talent and the inspiration they bring to the industry. More than fan admiration, however, his interest in the collaborations reflects a calculated artistic shift.
“I feel like Sheebah has so much untapped potential that many haven’t brought out. Winnie Nwagi has always been my favorite. I want to make music that not only moves people but challenges me as an artist,” he explained.
The singer, who began his professional journey under Kats Music, is now charting his own course with new management and vision. Despite spending more than five years in the industry, he acknowledges that the major breakthrough still eludes him but believes it’s within reach.
“I’m open to collaborating with any Ugandan female artist. There’s so much talent among women in this industry, and I want to be part of that energy,” Ruz said.
