Socialite and entrepreneur Zari Hassan has sparked a heated conversation online after criticizing women who continue to have children without being financially prepared to raise them. The mother of five expressed her frustration with what she termed as irresponsible parenting, especially in today’s harsh economic climate.
In a strongly worded statement shared online, Zari questioned how some women plan their lives, accusing them of bringing children into the world without any consideration for how they will survive or thrive.
“In this economy, are poor people still giving birth? Talk to me! Women come to my inbox crying that men have left them with kids, and there’s nothing to eat,” she said
Zari revealed that she receives numerous messages from women begging for financial help after being abandoned by their partners, left to fend for themselves and their children.
“Why are you still opening your legs when you’re poor and then getting pregnant? Isn’t family planning free these days? Women need to do better,” she emphasized.
