Musician Mansur Semanda aka King Saha, has declared he has no intention of paying for collaborations with international artists, insisting that his musical dominance within Uganda is enough to sustain his career.

During an interview on a local TV station, the mpa love hitmaker made it clear that he sees no value in spending money on international features, noting that his brand is already strong at home.

“I can never pay for a collaboration with an international artiste. It’s useless because I am already leading here,” Saha stated bluntly.

According to Saha, investing in the Ugandan music industry yields higher and more immediate returns compared to chasing international exposure. He explained that the local market allows artists to invest less and earn more something he believes is not guaranteed in international ventures.

“In Uganda, you invest a little and get high returns, which isn’t the same for anyone focusing on international success,” he said.

Saha’s comments reflect a growing sentiment among some Ugandan artists who prefer building deep, loyal local audiences instead of pursuing expensive partnerships with foreign stars.

Interestingly, Saha revealed that he already has an unreleased song with Tanzanian star Harmonize but fans might never hear or see it. The reason? A standoff over video production.

“We have a song in studio, but I don’t want to invest in its video. I want Harmonize to handle that,” Saha explained.

However, he admitted that it’s unlikely Harmonize will finance the video either, casting doubt on the project’s future.
