Swangz Avenue, one of East Africa’s most esteemed record labels, has flown its entire roster of talented artists, producers, songwriters, and managers to Zanzibar for an exclusive creative retreat. The esteemed group, comprising some of Uganda’s most skilled music professionals, departed on a Uganda Airlines flight on Wednesday. The impressive lineup included Elijah Kitaka, Zagazillions, Azawi, Winnie Nwagi, Sir Jaylor, Zafaran, Benon Mugumbya, Julius Kyazze, Vinka, and several others.
According to sources, Swangz Avenue plans to shoot music videos and record new tracks in Zanzibar, featuring some of the finest talent from East Africa on the highly anticipated Swangz All-Star Album.
Via Twitter, Swangz Avenue announced, “Our artists, producers, and writers are embarking on a week-long creative retreat in Zanzibar to commence recording the Swangz All-Star Album, showcasing some of Uganda’s most exceptional talents.”
This exciting project promises to be a landmark moment in East African music, bringing together some of the region’s most innovative and gifted artists under the renowned Swangz Avenue label.
